Fall 2024 Poll Monitoring Program

Please join LCCRSF, Asian Law Caucus, and California Common Cause in protecting our democracy in this key election season! We are seeking attorney and non-attorney volunteers to participate in our non-partisan election protection program, the longest-running and largest in California, to observe polling places across the Bay Area, Central Valley, and Southern California.

Similar to past programming, volunteers will be assigned to polling places in key counties across the Bay Area, Central Valley, and Southern California for the November Elections (Saturday, November 2 and Tuesday, November 5). Poll monitors will be paired together to visit three to five polling places over a four to five-hour shift and will ensure that voters receive the language assistance that they are entitled to by law, that polling places are accessible to voters with disabilities, that voters are not being harassed or intimidated, and more.

No prior experience or legal background is necessary, and volunteers will receive training on how to conduct poll observation. California-barred attorneys may earn 1.5 MCLE credit or Pro Bono credit by participating in this program; non-attorney volunteers may be eligible to receive a $100 stipend.
