Kurtis Wu joined the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area in November of 2021 as the Development and Communications Associate. Before joining the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights, Kurtis worked as the Outreach Coordinator for Bill Sorro Housing Program, an organization which helped connect vulnerable populations to affordable housing. Kurtis has also been involved in the local movement to create a Public Bank here in San Francisco and California. In addition Kurtis has also worked to establish local farmers markets and street food venues around the Bay Area.
Kurtis was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated from San Francisco State University where he studied Broadcasting and Communications. His favorite hobbies are taking pictures and going to his local farmers market.
