Nicole’s work is deeply rooted in a commitment to advancing racial and economic justice and empowering poor and working-class people, immigrants, and communities of color. Prior to joining Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights, she served as an Urban Leaders Fellow conducting policy research for Oakland Councilmember Nikki Bas and Director of Education David Silver. Nicole also interned for Causa Justa Just Cause, a grassroots organization advocating for immigrant rights and housing justice. 

In 2019, she served as a Fulbright fellow in the Dominican Republic where she taught English at universities and collaborated with Black feminist decolonial collectives on the island. Nicole is a graduate of Brown University and completed her Master’s Degree at UC Berkeley in African Diaspora Studies. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys dancing and immersing herself in a good fantasy book.
