Alexandra Ruvalcaba

( she/her )

Legal Assistant, Immigration Justice

Alexandra is originally from the Central Valley of California where she grew up with her family who immigrated to the US from Mexico. Having grown up in an area with a large immigrant community inspired her to pursue a career within the immigration legal field. She began her journey at the Social Justice Collaborative in Berkeley, CA where she primarily worked on Special Immigrant Juvenile Status Petitions and asylum cases.

Alexandra received her Bachelor’s degree in Legal studies with a Public Policy minor from the University of California, Berkeley. During her time at UC Berkeley, she volunteered for the Student Immigration Relief Clinic and put on workshops to educate students on current immigration issues in the US and around the world. Prior to joining the LCCRSF, Alexandra worked at Van Der Hout LLP as a litigation paralegal. Her career goal is to one day become an immigration attorney.

Outside of work, she enjoys running and exploring the Bay Area. Alexandra lives in San Francisco with her dog, King.
