Julie Dargus

Staff Attorney, Immigrant Justice

Julie brings several years of experience representing individuals and families in their asylum cases and other forms of humanitarian relief, as well as providing mentorship to pro bono attorneys representing asylum seekers. From 2020 to 2022, Julie was a staff attorney with PASA (Proyecto de Ayuda para Solicitantes de Asilo) housed within Texas RioGrande Legal Aid in Laredo, Texas assisting individuals subjected to the full menu of draconian border enforcement policies. Over the past year, she worked at Immigrant Defenders Law Center in Los Angeles where she worked with adults and families in removal proceedings in the greater Los Angeles area. 

Julie graduated from UCLA School of Law in 2020. Her research and advocacy in law school centered on representing those subjected to immigrant detention and international law focused on human rights. She graduated from University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degrees in Linguistics and Spanish with a minor in Business Administration. Julie is from Phoenix, Arizona.
