Nisha Kashyap is a Program Director on the Racial Justice team. Prior to joining LCCRSF, Nisha worked at Public Counsel in Los Angeles, representing low-income consumers in direct services, impact litigation, and policy advocacy. Examples of her work include litigating on behalf of community members impacted by predatory lending and fraud, defending Black and Latinx homeowners at risk of foreclosure, and protecting clients from unfair or abusive business practices. She also represented youth in foster care in a range of housing, public benefits, and education matters at the Alliance for Children’s Rights, and clerked for the Honorable Keith P. Ellison on the Southern District of Texas. Nisha is a graduate of Stanford Law School and is licensed to practice law in California.
