LCCR Mourns Loss of Jeff Adachi

SF public defender “one of the greats”

SAN FRANCISCO – The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area (LCCR) released the following statement on the passing of San Francisco Public Defender Jeff Adachi:

Jeff’s work changed the lives of our clients for the better. His work on clean slate, bail, conditions in the jail, and his fierce defense of his clients changed all of us. His passing is a tremendous loss for many in our office, for San Francisco, and for the entire justice community.  We will honor his legacy by continuing to fight for racial, economic and immigrant justice in the Bay Area and beyond.
